1. Who we are
TradeWars ("the Platform", "we", "us") is an independent platform that organizes skill-based trading contests. You can reach us at contact@trade-wars.org.
We are not a broker, not an investment firm, and not a financial adviser. Nothing on the Platform is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to trade. We are not affiliated with Axi or Crypto Fund Trader.
2. The service
We organize weekly skill-based trading contests run on demo accounts, publish rankings based on contest performance, and award prizes to the top-ranked traders as described in the Contest rules. Entry is free and contests carry no financial risk: all trading takes place on demo accounts with virtual funds.
The Contest rules published on this site at the start of each contest week form part of these terms for that contest.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform or enter a contest.
- One account per person. Duplicate or shared accounts may be removed and disqualified.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Third-party services
Contests rely on services provided by independent third parties, each governed by their own terms:
- Axi provides the demo trading accounts used for contests. Your relationship with Axi is governed by Axi's own terms and account agreements.
- Crypto Fund Trader (CFT) provides the funded accounts awarded as prizes. Funded accounts are subject to CFT's own rules, evaluation conditions and payout policies.
TradeWars does not control and is not responsible for the services, availability, performance, or decisions of these third parties — including, without limitation, CFT's decisions regarding funded accounts and payouts, or Axi's decisions regarding accounts and data feeds.
5. Prizes and profit share
- Prizes are awarded as described in the Contest rules in force at contest start.
- Before a prize is delivered, the winner must sign a profit-share agreement: the winner keeps 75% of net payouts from the funded account, and 25% goes to TradeWars. Signing this agreement is a condition of prize delivery.
- Any taxes, duties or reporting obligations arising from winnings or payouts are the winner's sole responsibility.
- Prizes are personal, non-transferable, and have no cash alternative from TradeWars.
6. Acceptable use
When using the Platform you agree not to:
- cheat or manipulate contest results in any way, including coordinated trading across accounts;
- register or operate more than one account, or enter on someone else's behalf;
- attack, overload, probe, or scrape the Platform, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
Breaches may lead to disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and suspension or termination of your account, as further detailed in the Contest rules.
7. Content and intellectual property
The Platform, the TradeWars name and brand, and all content we publish (design, text, rankings, graphics, code) belong to TradeWars or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit them without our written permission.
Display names, avatars and any other content you submit must not infringe anyone's rights, impersonate others, or be offensive or misleading. We may remove or change user content that breaks this rule.
8. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Rankings depend on third-party data feeds and account access that we do not control.
- Nothing on the Platform is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
- Contest performance on a demo account does not predict results in live trading. Trading real funds — including on a funded account — involves risk.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us to use it — which, for free contest entry, is zero. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost opportunities.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Your data
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the Contest rules. You may delete your account at any time by writing to contact@trade-wars.org.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always published on this page with its "Last updated" date. The version in force at the time you use the Platform or enter a contest is the one that applies to that use or contest.
These terms are governed by the laws of France, and the French courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. (Final choice of law and forum is pending legal review.)
